Hartford Regional Market Survey

The Hartford Regional Market, a 32-acre state-owned facility, is the largest perishable food distribution facility between Boston and New York.  Designed and built in the 1940s, it has served Connecticut and the surrounding area for more than six decades as a hub for agricultural products grown and produced both within and outside the state.

The Connecticut Department of Agriculture and the Connecticut Marketing Authority, which oversees the Hartford Regional Market, are in the early stages of developing a master plan for revitalization of the 60-plus-year-old facility.

They are seeking input from residents about their impressions of the Hartford Regional Market and any shopping experiences they may have had there.

Input is needed by Sunday, November 24, 2013.  Please take the survey (about 10 minutes to complete), at

The survey is also available in Spanish at
