LEGAL NOTICE
On April 5, 2010 the Commissioner of Agriculture, upon the application of Hemlock Oyster Co., LLC 158 East Putnam Avenue, Cos Cob, Ct. 06807, will lease to the highest responsible bidder, shellfish grounds in Stamford totaling 121.97 acres as follows:
Beginning at a point being the northeasterly most point of the lot herein described;
Thence along the northeasterly line of the lot herein described, South 50 degrees 43 Minutes 02 Seconds East, a distance of 2065.97 feet to a point being the easterly most point of the lot herein described;
Thence along the southeasterly line of the lot herein described, South 45 Degrees 20 Minutes 50 Seconds West, a distance of 2817.84 feet to a point being the southerly most point of the lot herein described;
Thence along the southwesterly line of the lot herein described;
Thence along the southeasterly line of the lot herein described, North 49 Degrees53 minutes 27 Seconds West, a distance of 1743.28 feet to a point being the westerly most point of the lot herein described;
Thence along the northwesterly line of the lot herein described, North 38 Degrees 46 Minutes 54 Seconds east, a distance of 2777.04 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Containing 5313173.80 square feet or 121.97 acres, more or less.
Shellfish growing classification is “Approved”.
Pursuant to Ct. Gen. Stat. § 26-204, the Connecticut Lobster and fish trawlers have an established right of fishing in the above described area.

Sealed bids marked "Bid on Application 07-05" will be received up to 9:00 A.M. on April 5, 2010 at the Bureau of Aquaculture, P.O. Box 97, Milford, Connecticut 06460 and should include one year's rental payment. Bids will be opened at 9:10 A.M. No lease will be granted for less than three years. No bid will be accepted for less than $4.00 per acre. Forms for bidding may be obtained at the Bureau of Aquaculture office.
