Child Safety Class
SERVICE ADVISORY: DMV will close for the Labor Day holiday as usual on Friday, Sept. 4, at 12:30 p.m. and will not have its half-day office hours the next day, Saturday. This follows contractual agreements related to state and federal holidays that occur on Mondays as Labor Day does. Offices will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 7:45 a.m.
If you get a ticket for not using child safety equipment or not using it correctly, you will have to go to Child Safety course within sixty (60) days from the mailing date of the notice.
The course is two (2) hours and is given at the following locations:
Department of Motor Vehicles Naugatuck Valley Community College
60 State Street Waterbury, CT
Failure to complete the class will result in the suspension of the driver's license or driving privilege for a period of sixty (60) days. The operator will be required to complete the class and pay the required restoration fee of $175.00 to restore the driving privilege.
