 How to Apply

 

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) accepts Applications for Examination or Employment  along with the DMV's Supplement to the Application for Employment continually.  These forms are kept in an active file for 12 months from the date of receipt.  All applications for DMV positions throughout Connecticut should be sent to our main office.

 

Please be sure to complete the application in full.  Because we have DMV Branch Office Locations throughout the state, it is imperative that the location section be completed.

 

The Application for Examination or Employment and the DMV Supplement to the Application for Employment  are available at all DMV branch offices, or can be downloaded, completed and mailed to the address below:

Applications for Examinations:

The examination process is different from applying with the DMV. For competitive classifications, you must file an Application for Examination or Employment per the Department of Administrative Services instructions on the examination announcement.
