Acceptable Forms of Payment

 

Many DMV transactions require a fee from the customer.  Acceptable forms of payment vary by location and are as follows:

 

DMV Hub Offices and Limited Service Offices

Acceptable forms of payment are: cash, money orders, personal checks, bank checks, Mastercard, Visa, Discover and most debit cards with Mastercard/Visa logo. Please make all checks payable to DMV.

DMV Photo License Centers

Due to security reasons, cash is not accepted at the Photo License Centers. Acceptable forms of payment are: personal checks, bank checks, money orders and Master Card and Visa, and most debit cards with Mastercard/Visa logo.

 

AAA Office Locations

Acceptable forms of payment are: cash, money orders, personal checks and bank checks.  Please make all checks payable to DMV PLEASE NOTE: Credit/debit cards are NOT ACCEPTED at AAA offices.

 

Note: AAA offices only perform non-commercial (CDL) driver license renewals and Non- Driver ID renewals, duplicate license and Non-Driver Id's. All other transactions must be performed at DMV office locations.

 

Note: Checks drawn on foreign banks and third party checks are not accepted at any location.
