Residential Team

The Residential Team works with patients who have a severe and persistent mental illness, who have a history of long term psychiatric hospitalization, and who require the additional services of the supported housing programs in order to maintain residence within the community. The purpose of the team is to assist the patients in achieving community integration with an optimal quality of life. Additionally, the Residential Team was designed to coordinate care with the community housing providers to enhance collaboration in our joint mission. The team serves approximately 125 patients, carrying out much of its work in the community, at various housing programs, Fellowship Place, and CMHC. This work consists of psychopharmacology, individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and consultation to housing providers. Service hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to at least 5:00 p.m. Some group therapy sessions are held until 6:00 p.m. and individual patients may be seen after 6:00 p.m. if the need arises. Evening and weekend hours the team patients are covered by Acute Services and CMHC on-call system with team members are available by phone, if necessary.
