"Employee Recognition Program"

This Employee Recognition Program is designed to identify and recognize employees throughout the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services who demonstrate exceptional job performance and who exceed the expectations of their peers in providing dedicated quality service to DMHAS, the people we serve and the State of Connecticut.

The "DMHAS Employee of the Year" Program is an agency-wide Employee Recognition Program Initiative.

DMHAS Nurse of the Year Program
"Our DMHAS Nurses - Making a Difference Every Day!"

The Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services Nurse of the Year program is administered by the DMHAS Human Resource Division as established by the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services. This program provides a means to enable co-workers, clients, and client's families to recognize our nurses for the exceptional work they do. Nurses are nominated based on their outstanding initiative, advocacy, team support, empathy and flexibility, and application of Nursing theory in two categories: "Nurse of the Year - Direct Care" AND "Nurse of the Year Administrative / Education".

DMHAS Longevity Service Recognition Program

The Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services is pleased to recognize all of our employees who have reached their longevity full-time equivalency service year milestones.

Thank you for the commitment and dedication that our employees provide to DMHAS, the people we serve, and the State of Connecticut!

DMHAS Distinguished Managerial Service Award
 
The DMHAS Distinguished Managerial Service Award program is an excellent opportunity for managers to recognize the accomplishments of their fellow managers. Selection criteria include:

1. Nominee’s service to DMHAS
2. Nominee’s service to the people served by DMHAS
3. Nominee’s record of their own career growth and professional development
4. Nominee’s efforts to support the career growth and professional development of staff / supervisees.
5. Additional information the nominator believes is important (e.g. community/volunteer service, activities that foster a positive image of DMHAS and/or the state of Connecticut.)
