STATE POLICE SEEK PUBLIC'S HELP TO IDENTIFY LARCENY SUSPECT

The CT State Police, Deep River Resident State Trooper’s Office is conducting a criminal investigation into thefts of wallets from professional locations in Connecticut.  In these cases the suspect has entered these facilities and taken wallets belonging to employees.

State & Local Investigators are attempting to identify a possible suspect in these cases.  The suspect is described as being a white male about 35 to 45 years old, average height and weight.  The suspect has brown hair and parts it to the right.  This suspect has been observed operating a white Ford Ranger side–step two-door extended cab pick-up truck with black tube step up bars and an unknown Connecticut registration plate.  He also has been known to operate a black and a red sport-type motorcycle.

On 04/01/2014, the most recent theft,  the suspect gained access and entered a locked building in the town of Deep River.  He stole a wallet containing credit cards and used those credit cards to purchase items at different big box stores in Middletown and Waterbury.

The suspect is believed to have committed similar crimes in Farmington and Newington.

In each case, the suspect has worn a dark- colored jacket with a darker collar and trims around the wrists and waist.  He has carried a dark-colored backpack and a black motorcycle helmet.

The suspect has made several attempts to use these stolen credit cards to make purchases or has attempted to make purchases in several locations including the greater Waterbury area.

Anyone who believes that they may recognize the suspect, or has any knowledge or information about this suspect or about these thefts, is asked to contact the lead investigator State Police, TFC Dawn Taylor, at CT State Police Troop F in Westbrook  at 860-399-2100, x8007.   All calls and information will be held in strict confidence.

State and local police are continuing this investigation.  Several photos of the suspect from different jurisdictions are attached.
