STATE POLICE MAKE ARRESTS IN THEFT OF ATMS

 

   On 3-4-2014, the Connecticut State Police, Troop K Colchester made three criminal arrests in the connection with six substantial burglaries that took place in the Windham area during the month of January.

 

   Between the dates of January 2nd and January 20th, 2014, Troop K Troopers investigated six commercial burglaries in which ATMís were either stolen or attempted to be stolen.  During the investigation of the burglaries, a collaborative effort of State Police Troop K Troopers, State Police Eastern District Major Crime Detectives, the CSP Windham Heights Task Force, Troop D Quality of Life Task Force, Willimantic Police Department and Connecticut Department of Probation working together developed leads and information to identification of suspects that were involved.

 

   Troopers continued the investigation and submitted arrest warrant applications to Superior Court. 

 

   The following three (3) suspects were arrested on 03/03/2014 and 03/04/2014 via arrest warrants as a result of this investigation:

 

   Joshua Parker was charged with three counts of Burglary 3rd, CGS 53a-103, two counts of Larceny 3rd, CGS 53a-124, and one count of Criminal Mischief 2nd, CGS 53a-116.  Parker was released on a $15,000 cash/surety bond and awaits his court date on 3-20-2014.

   Anibal Crespo was charged with three counts of Burglary 3rd, CGS 53a-103, two counts of Larceny 3rd, CGS 53a-124, and one count of Criminal Mischief 2nd, CGS 53a-116.  Crespo was not able to post bond and was presented in court at GA#11, Danielson on 3-4-2014.

   Hunter Carruthers was charged with one count of Burglary 3rd, CGS 53a-103 and one count of Larceny 6th, CGS 53a-125b.  Carruthers was not able to post bond and was presented in court at GA#11, Danielson on 3-4-2014.
