STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE THEFT FROM PROSPECT CONSTRUCTION SITE

The Prospect Resident Troopers Office is investigating a major theft from a construction site located at 75 New Haven Road (Route 69) in Prospect. The construction site is the location of a new elementary school.

Sometime during the evening of Saturday, 01/11/2014, and Monday morning, 01/13/2014, it appears that at least two individuals unlocked the gate and drove into the construction site, siphoned approximately 800 gallons of diesel fuel (red dyed) from several machines, stole a Champion 1800 watt generator and a 2011 Polaris Sportsman Quad color red with an Ashtech Z GPS unit mounted on the front. The total GPS unit is valued at $48,000.

The State Police Investigation has determined from the tire tracks in the mud that the suspects used a pickup truck that had single tires in the rear and no trailer.

Anyone with any information or anyone who may have observed anything unusual at the construction site can contact the Prospect Resident Troopers Office at (203) 758-6150 or State Police 203 393-4200.

All calls will be kept confidential.
