STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN UNDERAGE PARTY CASE

On August 6, 2013, Troopers from the Colchester State Police Barracks were dispatched to the reports of a one-car collision on West Street in Hebron.  Responding Troopers arrived to find that a Toyota pick-up truck had struck a tree.  The collision resulted in the ejection of a passenger in the vehicle who died as a result of injuries sustained during the collision.  Two other passengers were observed running from the scene.

The subsequent investigation of this collision determined that just prior to the collision, the vehicle had left an underage party in Marlborough. Investigation into the circumstances of the party determined that the party was held in the woods on property belonging to Paul Sibiga of 66, North Parker Road, Marlborough.  Approximately 28 underage individuals had attended the party where alcohol was served.

On December 12, 2013, Troopers from the Colchester State Police Barracks arrested Paul Sibiga on the strength of an arrest warrant issued by the Rockville Superior Court.  Paul Sibiga was charged with:

Reckless Endangerment in the first degree (28 counts)

Permitting Minor to illegally possess liquor in dwelling/private property (28 counts)

Paul Sibiga was taken into custody without incident at his residence and transported to Troop K.  The accused was processed on the above charges, held on a $200,000.00 court set bond and transported to Manchester Superior Court for presentment.
