STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING IN MARLBOROUGH
On 03/11/13 State Police Troop K received a 911 call from a Portland Road resident in the town of Marlborough who reported that someone had fired shots into his home.
Troopers responded to the residence and conducted a searcg of the area for any suspicious people or vehicles.
State Police Major Crime Detectives responded to process the scene and gather physical and forensic evidence.
Leads and information were developed by investigators. Initial information obtained by State Police Detectives from the victim and witnesses determined that the victim lives at the residence with his girlfriend, and they were both in the home when they heard the gunshots. They discovered that the sliding glass door window was shattered and that their dog had been shot. The dog was transported to a veterinarian to remove the bullet.
State Police Detectives processed the residence did locate additional shell casings outside of the residence and the dog was transported to a veterinarian to remove a third bullet. The case is currently being investigated with no suspects at this time.
