STATE POLICE, BRIDGEPORT POLICE EXECUTE SEARCH WARRANTS;
SEIZE GUNS, CASH, NARCOTICS
 
   On Friday, January 25, 2013, Detectives from the Statewide Urban Violence Cooperative Crime Control Task Force (SUVCCCTF), assisted by the Bridgeport Police Uniform and Tactical Team, executed search and seizure warrants at two neighboring residences on Iranistan Avenue and Lewis Street in Bridgeport.
 
   There were two search warrants, one for the second floor residence and basement of 716 Iranistan Avenue.  The second search warrant was for the first floor residence at 241 Lewis Street.  
 
   Crack cocaine was being sold from the area of the Iranistan Avenue residence by the subject who lived two houses away on Lewis Street. Narcotics were reportedly stored at Iranistan Avenue and firearms used for the protection of the drug operation were reportedly stored at the Lewis Street residence.
 
   The Bridgeport Police Tactical unit entered and secured the residence at #716 Iranistan Avenue; the SUVCCCTF then executed the search warrant. The Bridgeport Tactical then entered and secured the first floor residence at #241 Lewis Street and the SUVCCCTF executed the search warrant. 
 
    While the search warrants were being executed, another subject who was on the street attempted to flee the area and was detained. He was in possession of marijuana packaged for sale and was arrested on-site. Arrested was Robert FRANKLIN, DOB: 03/21/1988, of 23 Gregory Circle, Stratford. He was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school. He was held on $5,000 bond.
 
   Seized at the Iranistan Avenue residence was seven grams of crack cocaine, nine grams of marijuana and packaging materials, as well as $1,462 in U.S. Currency. Arrested at that residence was Jimmy JOYNER, DOB: 05/16/1964, a convicted felon.  He was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana within 1,500 feet of a school possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond is set at $100,000.
 
   Seized from the residence at 241 Lewis Street were multiple firearms, ammunition and a look-alike pellet gun/assault rifle. There were two loaded handguns, a sawed-off shotgun, a 40-caliber rifle that looks like an assault rifle and a rifle with a scope. Also seized was a .177 caliber pellet gun, resembling an AR-15 assault rifle. Arrested at that residence was David PRIDE, DOB: 11/12/1953, a convicted felon. He was charged with five counts criminal possession of a firearm and possession of a sawed-off shotgun. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
