STATEWIDE NARCTICS TASK FORCE SEIZES GUNS AND DRUGS
Detectives from the State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force concluded a several months-long narcotics investigation into a known narcotics dealer operating in the New Haven and West Haven area.
After extensive investigation, search & seizure warrants were obtained from Superior Court and on 1/22/13 they executed at 179 Park Street, Unit#1, in West Haven, and 705 Orchard Street, 3rd floor, in New Haven.
Joshua S. Hamer (DOB 09/19/79) of 705 Orchard St., 3rd floor, in New Haven, was arrested on-scene in West Haven for six outstanding arrest warrants for sale of narcotics as well as on-site charges stemming from the search warrants. There was a separate search warrant executed for his vehicle, a 2004 Cadillac Deville.
The following evidence was seized as a result of the investigation: $6,554 in cash, 98.6 grams of crack cocaine, 4.8 grams of powder cocaine, 6.8 grams of heroin, a sawed- off Winchester 12-gauge shotgun, a sawed-off Sears 12-gauge shotgun and a .45 caliber Charles Daly handgun.
Accused Hamer was transported for processing. He is being held on $300,000 bond. Two children were present at the West Haven residence and were referred to DCF under the Drug Endangered Children’s Program.
Hamer was charged with numerous narcotic violations.
