STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE DISTURBANCE AT BRIDGEPORT COURTHOUSE

Date & Time: 12/31/12, 10:50 a.m.

Location: GA 2 Bridgeport Superior Court - Golden Hill St, Bridgeport

Incident: Disturbance/Assault at GA 2

   On the above date & time, State Troopers from Troop G responded to reports of “shots fired” at the Bridgeport Superior Courthouse. Both Troop G and Bridgeport PD responded. Upon further investigation, it was determined that shots were not fired and that there were no weapons utilized in the altercation.

   Preliminary investigation revealed that a brief altercation occurred on the courthouse steps, as families and friends were arriving for the arraignment of three suspects from on a Bridgeport murder case.

   The following individuals were arrested:

   Josue Gullap (DOB 07/29/86) was arrested and charged with Assault in the Third Degree (53a-61) and Breach of Peace in the Second Degree (53a-181a). Gullap is scheduled to appear at GA #2 on 01/11/13.

   Tyrell Simms (DOB 10/12/92) was arrested and charged with Threatening in the Second Degree (53a-62) and Breach of Peace in Second Degree (53a-181a). Simms is scheduled to appear at GA #2 on 01/10/13.

   Jessica Gullap (DOB 8/3/92) was arrested for Criminal Mischief Third Degree (53a-117) and is scheduled to appear at GA 2 on 01-11-13.
