STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN CHILD PORNOGRAPHY CASE

In May of 2012, the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes Unit began a criminal investigation into the sharing of child pornography over the Internet. The suspicious Internet activity was traced back to the residence located at 45 Magnolia Avenue, Norwalk.
On August 29, 2012, Troopers assigned to the Computer Crimes Unit assisted by the Norwalk Police Department executed a search and seizure warrant at 45 Magnolia Avenue, Norwalk, as part of the ongoing investigation. The accused, Raymond Forlano, was developed as a suspect. Numerous items of evidentiary value were seized from Forlano’s residence. Troopers conducted an investigative preview of the seized items and located image and video files of suspected child pornography. An arrest warrant was obtained from Superior Court for the accused.
On November 26, 2012, accused Forlano turned himself in at State Police Troop G in Bridgeport on an active arrest warrant for the above listed charges. Forlano was processed and released on a court set $25,000 bond. He will appear at GA 20 Norwalk Superior Court on December 5, 2012, at 0900 hours.
