THANKSGIVING TRAFFIC STATISTICS FROM THE CONNECTICUT STATE POLICE
Connecticut State Troopers are supplementing the normal Trooper patrol force with additional State Troopers being assigned to enforcement over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend. The Thanksgiving enforcement operation runs from midnight (0001hours) 11/21/11 and concludes at midnight (2400) on Sunday, 11/25/12.
Troopers are patroling all roads and highways across Connecticut and continue to focus on drunk driving violations and are targeting aggressive drivers.
Sobriety checkpoints and targeted DUI patrols will be in place over the entire weekend.
State Police will continue this preventive enforcement effort until the end of the entire 2012 Holiday season.
The following stats from the Connecticut State Police cover the time period starting at midnight on 11/21/12 until midnight on 11/25/12.

SEATBELT Arrests: 85
OTHER HAZARDOUS MOVING VIOLATION Arrests: 3,041
(including unsafe lane change, following too close, cell phone usage, failure to signal, etc.)
DUI ARRESTS: 62
ACCIDENTS Investigated: 410
With injury: 59
Fatals: 3 (I-691 in Southington; Route 8 in Beacon Falls; I-91 in North Haven)
Calls For State Police Service: 10,469
