                        STATE POLICE MAKE ARRESTS IN SOMERS MILL FIRE
 

   On 06-02-12, at approximately 2:19 a.m., the Town of Somers Fire Department, along with several other surrounding fire departments, responded to a reported structure fire at 40 Maple Street in Somers. formally known as the Somersville Mill. 

 

   Upon arrival, responding firefighters were met with a fast-moving fire that engulfed the former150,000-square-foot textile mill building built in 1860.  Troop C Troopers and Somers Resident State Troopers, along with Detectives from the State Police Fire and Explosion Investigation Unit and Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime Squad Troop C responded to conduct the investigation into this fire.

 

   State Police Detectives processed the crime scene, obtained evidence and interviewed several witnesses. After a lengthy criminal investigation, Detectives developed three suspects who were trespassing in the mill fifteen (15) minutes before the fire was called in on 9-1-1. The three suspects were cooperative and provided information regarding the mill fire.

    

   Detectives applied to Superior Court for three arrest warrants for the three accused. The warrants were issued by the court for the arrest of the three accused:

 

   Wesley Hall, D.O.B. 10-09-91, of 14 Longhollow Road, Enfield

   Christopher Jackson, D.O.B. 03-21-91, of 42 Armstrong Road, Enfield

   Erin Houle, D.O.B. 02-28-89, of 48 Enfield St., Indian Orchard, MA.

 

   The accused were each charged with Reckless Endangerment 1st degree 53a-63, Criminal Mischief 3rd degree 53a-117 and Criminal Trespass 3rd degree 53a-109.

 

   Erin Houle turned herself into Troop C at 0900 hours on 09-17-12 and was held on a court set $5000.00 Cash/Surety Bond. Houle was transported to GA 19 Rockville Superior Court for arraignment. She was released on a Promise to Appear on 10-01-12 at GA19.

 

   Wesley Hall and Christopher Jackson turned themselves in at Troop C at 1200 hours on 09-17-12 and were given a GA 19 Rockville Superior Court date of 10-01-12 after posting a $5000.00 Cash/Surety court set bond.
