On September 14, 2012, at about 2:20 a.m., Troop D received a report from a clerk at the Xtra Mart Convenience Store, 9 Woodstock Ave, (Rt.171) Thompson, reporting that the store was just robbed. Troopers from Troop D and a K-9 team responded to the scene. The scene was secured and a search of the area for suspects and evidence was conducted. Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad were called to the location to assume the investigation and process the scene.

Detectives learned that on September 14, 2012, there were two clerks on duty  at the Xtra Mart Store.
