STATE POLICE INVESTIGATING ARMED ROBBERY IN JEWETT CITY
 
     Connecticut State Police from Troop E responded on the evening of September 6, 2012, to the Best Way Gas Station at 211 North Main Street in Jewett City for a report of a robbery.

     On September 6, 2012, at 10:23 p.m., a male entered the store and demanded money from the clerk, who then opened the register.  The male took the money out of the register and then fled the scene on foot. The clerk reported that the individual had a knife.   

      A K-9 track was conducted with negative results.  No injuries were reported.

      The suspect was wearing a green, hooded sweatshirt with orange lettering on the front, blue pants, black Converse sneakers, black gloves, a black knit cap and a white cloth over his face.
