STATE POLICE DWI STOP LEADS TO MULTIPLE CHARGES

On December 22, 2-13, at approximately 8:39 p.m., a motor vehicle was stopped for speeding by a Troop K State Trooper on Route 2 eastbound near exit 22 in Lebanon.  The Trooper was working a DWI roving patrol when he stopped the vehicle.

Subsequent investigation determined that the operator, Brandon M. Henry, (08/26/1983) of 16 Milford Street, Hartford, was operating while under suspension and while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

A search of the vehicle incident to arrest located a loaded 45-caliber handgun in the glove box and several baggies of marijuana packaged for sale.  A criminal history check of the accused determined that he is a convicted felon. Accused Henry was arrested and charged with speeding, operating under suspension, operating while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, illegal sale of a controlled substance, possession of less than ounce of marijuana, carrying a pistol or revolver without a permit, carrying a firearm while under the influence of liquor or drugs, and criminal possession of a pistol or revolver.

The accused was transported to Troop K, processed and held on a $25,000 cash/surety bond.  He is scheduled to appear January 9, 2014, at GA 21, Norwich.
