The Department of Environmental Protection administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of the July 4th holiday and on Monday, July 6 for a state furlough day. 

State parks will be open Friday and Monday as well as over the weekend.

Morris Vote Ends State Lease For Bantam Boat Launch Facility Now Open Only To Morris Residents
  As a result of a town meeting vote in Morris to terminate an agreement with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), the Bantam Lake boat launch is now open only to residents of Morris and DEP has ended its operation of that facility.

Governor Rell Applauds EPA Approval Of California Auto Emissions Standards
  Governor M. Jodi Rell today hailed the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's decision to approve California's request for stricter greenhouse gas emission standards for motor vehicles, calling the decision an important step forward in efforts to address climate change that will mean the sale of cleaner, greener cars in Connecticut.

DEP Administrative Offices Closed Friday And Monday
  The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announced today that all of its administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Monday, July 6 as a result of the celebration of the July 4 holiday on Friday and a state furlough day Monday.
