Connecticut Consolidated Assessment and Listing
Methodology For 305(b) and 303(d) Reporting

(CT CALM)

The 2006 CT Consolidated Assessment and Listing Methodology for 305(b) and 303(d) Reporting(CT CALM) (PDF, 150K) documents the methodology used to make water quality assessments for the 2006 Integrated Water Quality Report to Congress prepared pursuant to Federal Clean Water Act Sections 305(b) and 303(d) List (PDF 3544K)(Integrated Report).  The CT CALM is also included as Chapter 4 in the Integrated Report.

The 2006 CT CALM emphasizes sound science and the use of environmental data of known quality in making water quality assessments.  Assessments are based on how well waters support their designated uses by comparing physical, chemical, and biological monitoring data to numeric and narrative criteria adopted in Connecticut’s Water Quality Standards.

Please direct questions regarding the CT CALM to Lisa Wahle by phone at (860) 424-3386 or by e-mail at lisa.wahle@po.state.ct.us.
