State Solid Waste Management Advisory Committee
In December 2006, the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) adopted the
State Solid Waste Management Plan, Amended 2006. This Plan will be the basis for Connecticut’s solid waste management planning and decision-making now through to the year 2024. Critical to the successful implementation of the Plan is the creation of a State Solid Waste Management Advisory Committee. The
purpose and responsibilities of the Agency Advisory Committee are in short to:
-
Assist the Department in implementing the Plan
-
Identify emerging issues and solutions and
-
Participate in any revisions to the Plan as necessary
The Committee membership is open to all and all meetings will be held in an open stakeholder forum. Meetings will be held on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the DEP’s Offices at 79 Elm Street, Hartford, CT. See the
Advisory Committee Information and Schedule for upcoming meeting information and minutes and presentations from previous meetings.
