Commercial and Institutional
Food Scrap Recycling Pilot Projects

There are four food scrap recycling pilot projects underway in Connecticut. All were chosen through an RFP (Request for Proposal) process and concentrate on recycling source separated organic materials (SSOM) from the commercial and institutional sector. Final reports will be available at the end of the operational phase of each project. Meanwhile, questions or comments should be directed to the contact people who are managing the projects, or to K.C. Alexander, CT DEP Organics Recycling Specialist, at 860-424-3239 or kathy.alexander@ct.gov
