COASTAL GEOGRAPHY OF CONNECTICUT

Dr. Leon Yacher, a Professor and Chairman of the Geography Department at Southern Connecticut University will be giving a power point presentation on the Coastal Geography of Connecticut. Using photographs and maps, this presentation will show the changes through time that have modified the state’s coastal region from a natural shape to a modified landscape. TAKE A BREAK BIRD WALK

Take a break and enjoy a lunch-time bird and nature walk on the grounds of the Kellogg Estate and Osbornedale State Park in search of resident birds and lingering migrants or come along just for the walk. All levels of bird watchers are encouraged to participate.
SATURDAY MORNING BIRD WALK

Do you enjoy watching birds? Join volunteer Maria Stockmal for a relaxing Saturday morning walk in search of local birds. Experience the joy of observing birds in the wild, sharpen your bird identification skills or just enjoy a Saturday morning hike through the grounds of the Kellogg Environmental Center and Osbornedale State Park. Meet in the parking lot of the Kellogg Environmental Center. Walks may last up to 2 hours, depending on conditions. All levels of birders are encouraged to participate.
