IED Counterterrorism Workshop

The workshop is designed to enhance the knowledge of State and local Law Enforcement and public/private sector stakeholders by providing exposure to key elements of the IED threat, surveillance detection methods, and soft target awareness.  The workshop illustrates baseline awareness and prevention actions that reduce vulnerabilities to counter the threat along with information sharing resources to improve preparedness.  The workshop utilizes current tactics, techniques and procedures of IED threats which improve critical infrastructure owners and operators understanding of new IED threats and the terrorist attack cycle.

 

The venue is the Roger Ludlowe Middle School at 685 Unquowa Rd, Fairfield, CT.  Itís located one block north of I-95.  Directions are as follows: from the north, take I-95 to Exit 21 (Mill Plain Rd) and turn right onto Mill Plain Rd.  Go for approx. Ĺ mile and turn right onto Unquowa Rd.  The school is on the right.  From the south, take I-95 to Exit 21 (Mill Plain Rd) and turn left onto Mill Plain Rd.  Continue as from the north.
