2017 Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) &
Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) Programs
 
Important Program Information and Submission Instructions
Application period:
Sub-applications must be received by the State via the FEMA e-grants system no later than 3pm on Sept. 15th, 2017. Paper or email applications cannot be accepted.
 
All Sub-Applicants applying for FMA or PDM project funding must have a FEMA approved local hazard mitigation plan in place to be eligible to apply. This requirement does not apply for applications to update a local natural hazard mitigation plan.
 
To Apply:
Eligible applicants must apply for funding through the Mitigation e-Grants system on the FEMA Grants Portal, accessible at https://portal.fema.gov
 
Applications for funding are reviewed on a nationally competitive basis. There are limited funds available for these programs. Applications whose main focus is in line with the highest Federal priorities have the most chance of being selected for further review.
