{Southeast CT Resources Recovery Facility} The Resources Recovery Task Force was established to study the operations, financial stability, and business models of resource recovery facilities operating in Connecticut. According to P.A. 13-285, the Task Force is responsible for reviewing statutes and regulations concerning renewable energy certificates for waste to energy facilities, exploring whether resource recovery facilities should be defined as electric municipal utilities, analyzing the potential for new forms of bilateral contacts, and making “any other recommendations the task force deems appropriate concerning the future of resource recovery facilities in the state and the long-term financial status of such facilities.” The 13-member panel consists of members appointed by the Governor, legislative leaders, and state agencies. The Resources Recovery Task Force Members will meet on the dates and times listed below at the DEEP’s Offices at 79 Elm Street, Hartford, Connecticut.
