Phase-out Requirements for Mercury-added Products July 1, 2006

On and after July 1, 2013 high intensity discharge lamps greater than 100 mg but < 1 gram of mercury are subject to phaseout.

Effective July 1, 2006, manufacturers of  fluorescent lamps and high intensity discharge lamps must place symbol "Hg" on each lamp.  For luminaries not sold through retail sales, such information must be provided on websites and catalogs.
