DEEP: East District Maintainer

Description:  Support Services East District Construction crew has a Maintainer position open. Person would work out of East District Headquarters in Marlborough.
 
Duties: Employee would perform work related to the maintenance and operation of DEEP boat launches, dams and managed lands and facilities including but not limited to, mowing, trimming, cleaning, janitorial, routine preventative equipment maintenance, litter pickup and painting. This position may requester work in adverse weather conditions and require some heavy lifting.  Depending of level of training and experience this position could involve the use of construction equipment, assist with the operation of a sawmill, operating chain saws, brush cutters, work chippers, tractors, medium duty vehicles and the use of skills in carpentry, plumbing, mechanical repairs, grounds maintenance or working on a fire crew.
 
Qualifications: Applicant must have a good attitude, good work ethic and willingness to learn.  Applicants must have a valid driverís license. 
 
Pay Rate: Pay rate varies from $10.10 to $14 per hour depending on education and experience.  There are no benefits. Paid Holidays after 90 days.
 
Hours per Week: Position has a 40 hour work week.  Work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. 
 
Anticipated Length of Positions: Position is 6 months in duration.
