Notice of MAFMC and ASMFC Public Hearing
CT DEEP Marine Fisheries Divisiion is hosting one of a coast-wide series of public scoping hearings of the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council and Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission to gather public input on the range of issues and information to be considered in the Comprehensive Summer Flounder Amendment. Notice to Commercial Fishermen
Effective 0001 hours, Sunday, August 17, 2014, the Connecticut possession limit for the commercial harvest of scup is increased to 1,000 pounds for trawl, fish pot and commercial hook fisheries and 500 pounds for other gear types other than lobster pots, which will remain at 10 fish. (N14-07)
