EV BENEFITS

Electric Vehicles are a great way for you, as a consumer, to save a lot of money on gas. However there are a multitude of reasons why you should invest in an electric vehicle today...

{No or Low Emissions}

Battery EVs and Fuel Cell EVs have no harmful tailpipe emissions. In fact, Battery EVs don't even have a tailpipe!

CT also has one of the cleanest power generation portfolio's in the nation.

{Energy Independence}

Clean Vehicles powered by electricity from domestic clean power generation means less dependence on foreign oil to move our vehicles.

{Less Maintenance}

A vehicle powered solely by an electric motor requires no lubrication which means no oil changes.

Electric vehicles have fewer moving parts which reduces maintenance.

{Purchase Incentives}

Many states offer rebates that can be applied to the purchase of an EV. These rebates significantly reduce the price of owning an EV.

Any purchase rebates offered by EVConnecticut will be located on our Incentives page.

{Safe to Drive}

EVs undergo the same safety tests and most get NHTSA ratings at least as good, if not better, than their conventional counterparts.

A battery pack located beneath the vehicle lowers the center of gravity which translates to safer handling.

{Frugal With Fuel}

The average American spends between $2,000-$4,000 on gasoline every year. Though electricity isn’t free, an EV is far less expensive to run.

Find out how much cheaper it is to drive on electricity!

{Reduce Your Footprint}

Just knowing that you are doing your part to make the planet healthier will be reason enough to look into purchasing a clean vehicle.

The growing use of renewables to generate electricity will positively influence EV motorist's carbon footprint.

{Charge Anywhere}

Come home, plug your car into any standard household outlet and zoom off to work or errands without needing to make an additional stop at a gas station.

See our Charging 101 page for more information

{Fun to Drive}

Electric motors are capable of providing a smooth drive with quick acceleration and instant torque not available with a gas engine.

On top of all that an EV provides a quiet ride you won't believe.
