CT DEEP Hosts Program on Bobcats in Connecticut at Kellogg Environmental Center, Derby
The Naugatuck Valley Audubon Society, in cooperation with Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) will host a program entitled Bobcats in Connecticut. The presentation will take place at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November, 12 at Kellogg Environmental Center, Derby.
Bobcats are one of Connecticut’s stealthiest predators. Join Christine Clark from Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo, as she highlights the abilities, adaptations and natural history of the bobcat. Through slides, video and artifacts learn about the Zoo’s newest animal ambassador, BeeZe the Bobcat, and how he helps Zoo visitors learn about and appreciate Connecticut’s wild feline.
The Kellogg Environmental Center is located at 500 Hawthorne Avenue, Derby, CT. Light refreshments will be served after the program. A donation of $5.00/ adult is requested and children under 12 are free.
