DEEP Responding to Body Found in Coginchaug River near Wadsworth Fall State Park
 
Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental (DEEP) Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police today (August 4, 2013) responded to the report of a body found in the Coginchaug River off Cherry Hill Road near Wadsworth Falls State Park, Middlefield.
 
At approximately 3:00 PM this afternoon, DEEP EnCon Police patrolling in the area were notified by a park patron of a body in the river near Wadsworth Falls State Park.  Officers notified other emergency officials and responded, locating the body of an adult male in the water who was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The body will be transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for positive identification and confirmation of cause of death.
