  • 5:00 p.m. – Speaking Ceremony and Q & A with Commissioner Esty
Guests are encouraged to participate by asking questions about their environmental issues of concern
Commissioner Esty said, “Sessions Woods Wildlife Management Area is a hidden jewel not far from Hartford, where visitors can travel along hiking trails year round and observe wildlife first-hand.  Purchased by the state over thirty years ago, Sessions Woods introduces visitors to wildlife and natural resources management through educational programs, interpretive trials and a backyard wildlife habitat area.
“The ‘Commissioner in Your Corner’ events are designed to highlight the tremendous natural resources our state enjoys and also make certain that I am available to meet and hear from the public.  The ‘Commissioner in Your Corner’ initiative is a way to accomplish both these goals. Today it gives me the opportunity to join others and talk about many important environmental issues that affect the forests within Connecticut.”
