Master Wildlife Conservationist and Photographer Gary Melnysyn will showcase his stunning wildlife images during an artistís reception at the Department of Energy and Environmental Protectionís (DEEP) Sessions Woods Conservation Education Center on Saturday, December 15 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served. Gary is an avid outdoor enthusiast and has been interested in wildlife from a very young age. A self-taught photographer, Garyís travels have taken him from the far reaches of Alaska across the Canadian tundra, through the wilderness of Montana and Wyoming, southwest to the shores of the Sea of Cortez, through the Great Divide, and into the deep woods of Maine. Garyís passion for photography, combined with his wildlife background, result in exceptional wildlife images. He has worked as a ranger at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming for the past two years.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view and also purchase Garyís award-winning photography during the free reception hosted by the non-profit Friends of Sessions Woods. Garyís images include gorgeous views of Alaska and Wyoming landscapes with snow-capped mountains contrasted by beautiful spring wildflowers. Majestic elk, captivating wolves, brawny grizzlies, and wild mustangs are just a few of the animals Gary has artistically captured with his digital camera. Framed photographs, matted smaller-sized prints, and photo note cards will be available for purchase, making the perfect holiday gift for the nature enthusiast in your life.
Sessions Woods Conservation Education Center is located at 341 Milford Street (Route 69) in Burlington and is operated by the DEEP Wildlife Division.
