Pachaug State Forest Green Falls Area Voluntown Come explore the many miles of roads and trails available for the hiker, snowmobiler, motorcyclist, and equestrian at Pachaug State Forest. Activities Facilities Directions Map Activities Boating Hunting Camping Mountain Biking Freshwater Fishing Picnicking Hiking Camping   In effect for 2013 for Pachaug Camgrounds: Green Falls and Mount Misery, the possession or use of alcohol is banned from June 7, 2013 to September 2, 2013 inclusive. Please do not bring alcoholic beverages and plan your visit accordingly. The Green Falls Campground has 18 wooded campsites that are available from the third Friday of April until September 30. The campsites are first-come, first serve with no reservations accepted. More Information Hiking Green Falls, Narragansett, Nehantic, and Pachaug trail sections pass through this area. Facilities Boat Launch, Picnic Tables Pachaug State Forest, Voluntown Directions The Green Falls Area of the Pachaug State Forest can be accessed by taking Route 138 east from exit 85 off of Route 395. Follow Route 138 east, 8.3 miles to the forest entrance. Fees There are separate weekend/holiday and camping fees at Pachaug State Forest, Green Falls Area. The gate at Green Falls campground closes on the last day of September. The Frog Hollow Horse Campground gate closes on Columbus Day The Mount Misery Campground gate closes the first day of January.
