The Office of Long Island Sound Programs (OLISP) held a workshop on Managing Docks and Piers on May 22, 2007 at DEEP's Marine Headquarters in Old Lyme.  The workshop was attended by a variety of municipal officials, consultants, attorneys and environmental advocates interested in dock management issues.  The workshop explored environmental, aesthetic, navigational and public trust issues arising from the proliferation of new docks in coastal areas and the increasingly contentious dock permitting process.  The following materials were presented at the workshop:
