The Commissioner of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) hereby gives notice of a public hearing concerning an application by the City of New London for a permit to install a stone riprap stormwater outfall pad.  The hearing, to be held on December 5, 2018, is more thoroughly described herein.

DEEP will conduct a site visit on December 5, 2018 at 2:30 PM.  DEEP will hold a public hearing on this application on December 5, 2018 at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers, New London City Hall, 181 State Street, New London, with the doors opening at 5:30 PM.  The public hearing will consist of informational presentations by the parties and collection of public comment on the record.  Written comments will be accepted at the public hearing and until the close of business on December 14, 2018.  Written comments may be submitted by mail to Janice Deshais, Hearing Officer, Office of Adjudications, Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, 79 Elm Street, Hartford, Connecticut 06106 or by e-mail to
