The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), is in the process of developing the stateís program year 2017 plan for administering a Weatherization Assistance Program for Low Income Persons (State Plan) for submittal to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE).  On March 30, 2017 issued a draft State Plan that was the subject of a public hearing held April 12, 2017.   DEEP subsequently updated the draft State Plan in July 2017 and again in August 2017. The draft State Plan as updated can be found at: www.ct.gov/deep/weatherization.
 
Public Hearing:  Pursuant to Part 440 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, DEEP will conduct a public hearing in Hearing Room 1, at its New Britain Office, Ten Franklin Square, New Britain, Connecticut, on August 31, 2017, at 9:30 a.m., at which public comments on the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) State Plan for Program Year 2017 can be presented. 
 
This hearing is supplemental to the hearing held April 12, 2017 for DEEPís proposed State Plan for Program Year 2017.  As identified in the originally proposed draft State Plan, following the completion of Program Year 16 DEEP is updating its proposed State Plan to adopt changes to improve service delivery for Program Year 2017 to ensure consistency with the program effectiveness requirements of 10 CFR 440.15 (a)(3).
