  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today lifted the fish consumption advisory for a stretch of the Quinnipiac River in Southington, saying laboratory test results show no evidence of contamination from a chemical spill last week in the waters or banks of the river.

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that a 20-person fire crew will be departing noon tomorrow (August 27th) from DEEP Eastern District Headquarters, 209 Hebron Road, Marlborough to assist the U.S. Forest Service in fighting wildfires in western states.

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) said today that people should not eat fish taken from a stretch of the Quinnipiac River in Southington until results from water quality tests are available to assess the impact of the release of a chemical substance Wednesday from a plant near the river in that town.
