  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is celebrating 150 years of Natural Resource Conservation in Connecticut throughout this year. The roots of natural resource conservation can be traced back to 1866 when legislation was passed creating a state Fisheries Commission.

  The recently launched RecycleCT Foundation today announced its first grant awards totaling over $21,000 to 12 Connecticut schools that have projects focused on recycling, waste reduction, reuse, or composting - and to the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) for an initiative to strengthen environmental education centered on waste reduction.
1/16/2016Appellate Court Upholds DEEP Cleanup Order - Decision Reaffirms Cleanup Responsibilities
  The Connecticut Appellate Court has upheld an enforcement order issued by the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) that requires the owner of a property to take action to address contamination that was present when the property was acquired and that holds both a limited liability company that owns property and the individuals who control the limited liability company responsible for clean-up.

  CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police have released the names of the four young adults involved in Tuesday night’s incident in which the car they were driving submerged in the waters of the pond at Bigelow Hollow State Park in Union.
