  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today issued permits to CPV Towantic Energy LLC that set air pollution control requirements and limits on air emissions for the construction and operation of an 805 Megawatt (MW) power plant off Woodruff Hill Road, Oxford.
11/24/2015PURA Issues Proposed Final Decision Approving Iberdrola Acquisition of UIL Companies
  The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority today issued a proposed final decision approving a change of control whereby the United Illuminating Company, the Southern Connecticut Gas Company and the Connecticut Natural Gas Company, would become subsidiaries of Spain-based Iberdrola, S.A.

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) today announced that it is strengthening efforts to promote the sale of Electric Vehicles (EVs) with additional funding for a consumer rebate initiative and grants to encourage state agencies and local governments to purchase these zero emissions vehicles and install charging stations.

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is accepting applications for the annual state forest firewood lottery. Applications will be accepted until February 1, 2016 with the results of the lottery posted on the DEEP Forestry website by March 18, 2016.

  Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to redevelop the waste-to-energy facility in Hartford as well as other facilities that have been operated by the Materials Innovation and Recycling Authority (MIRA) – formerly known as the Connecticut Resource Recovery Authority (CRRA).
