  Governor M. Jodi Rell today announced that in her continuing effort to reduce the size and cost of state government, agencies are effectively changing the way they do business by adopting “Lean” principals, a nationally recognized discipline initially used in manufacturing for streamlining and efficiency.

  The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) today recognized twelve marine facilities, including nine more of the of the Brewer family of Marinas, Yacht Yards and Shipyards in Connecticut, as recreational boating facilities to be certified as “Connecticut Clean Marinas.”

  Governor M. Jodi Rell announced today that funds are available to assist cities and towns and land conservation organizations with the purchase and preservation of open space lands and urban gardens through the state of Connecticut’s Open Space and Watershed Land Acquisition program.
