The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Environmental Conservation (EnCon) Police on September 22nd served an arrest warrant for Charles Flanagan Jr., age 34 of 6 Hillcrest Rd, Danbury for Criminal Trespass 3rd degree, Trapping Without a License, Trapping on Private Land Without Landowners Permission, Trapping Without Displaying the Owner’s Name on Traps (5 counts) and Traps Illegally Set Above Water-level (2 counts).

The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) today announced the beginning of autumn trout stocking. From now through late October, DEP expects to release nearly 44,000 trout into twenty-seven lakes and ponds, ten Trout Parks, and twenty-two rivers and streams.

The Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) today announced that beginning on October 1, 2006, new legislation goes into effect prohibiting a passenger from riding in front of the operator of a personal watercraft (PWC). In addition, it prohibits any passenger from riding on a PWC behind the operator unless the passenger is able to securely hold on to the person in front of them or to the watercraft’s handholds and keep both feet on the personal watercraft’s deck to maintain balance while it operates.
