Each of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) regions has a Quality Council that functions as a subcommittee of the Regional Advisory Council. These local Quality Councils are made up of families, individuals who receive supports and services from DDS, and regional staff. Additional individuals may be asked to participate in these meetings based on the topic area and expertise needed. The regional Quality Improvement Directors identify quality issues for which they are seeking the advice of their Quality Councils. The Regional Advisory Councils use their local Quality Council as an opportunity to obtain feedback and input from families and consumers on the quality issues of greatest importance to them.
