Title:  UConn/Mansfield Host Community Exercise (Full scale exercise)
 
FEMA evaluated full scale exercise of the UConn/Mansfield Host Community’s abilities to identify citizens (and their vehicles) who have been exposed to radiological fallout as a result of a radiological accident and having the facilities available to de-contaminate those citizens (and their vehicles).  Exercise also included referring citizens to alternate shelter sites when appropriate.  DDS personnel participated as exercise observers and as support staff for a radiological contaminated “Special Needs Citizen”.

7/24/07 Title:  Influenza Pandemic Tabletop Exercise
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
CT Dept. of Public Health, local municipal and district health departments, DEMHS officials, and municipal Emergency Management Directors participated in a pandemic flu tabletop exercise to test and evaluate public health officials’ pandemic flu plans.  Of particular interest were communication strategies between local and state health departments and communication strategies between local health departments and municipal emergency management structures.  Also addressed was communication with the general public.  DDS personnel participated as exercise observers.

Title:  DEMHS Region 1 Functional Tabletop Exercise
Pandemic Influenza Plan Evaluation
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Public Health, police, fire, and emergency management officials from each of the 14 towns in the DEMHS Region 1 participated in a pandemic flu tabletop exercise to test and evaluate each town’s pandemic flu plans.DDS personnel participated as exercise scribes and emergency response plan evaluators.
