Celebrate New Wastewater System at

Southbury Training School

Commissioners from Connecticut’s Departments of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP), Developmental Services (DDS) and Construction Services (DCS) celebrated the benefits of a modern state-of-the-art wastewater treatment system at Southbury Training School, Southbury. The new system, which came online this past June, includes a pump station at the training school that sends all wastewater to Heritage Village Water Pollution Control Facility. This allowed the aging treatment plant at training school to be shut down and demolished.
