DCP: Mobile Manufactured Homes

Mobile Manufactured Homes

Mobile manufactured homes are an important housing resource for many Connecticut residents. On individual lots or within mobile manufactured home communities, these homes offer an appealing alternative to conventional housing for first-time home buyers as well as those seeking to downsize.

The Department of Consumer Protection inspects and licenses mobile manufactured home parks, investigates complaints from park residents, and enforces Connecticut's statutes and regulations regarding parks.

The Mobile Manufactured Home Advisory Council operates under the auspices of the Department. The role of the advisory council is set forth by statute and includes monitoring the implementation of laws and regulations, promoting broader use of mobile manufactured homes, and regulating mobile manufactured home communities or parks.
